जिले में 2807 परिषदीय
विद्यालयों का संचालन हो रहा है। इसमें 1930 प्राथमिक विद्यालय हैं। 411 उच्च प्राथमिक विद्यालय और 466 कंपोजिट विद्यालय हैं। नए सत्र में छात्र संख्या बढ़ाने के लिए अभियान चल रहा है। अधिकांश विद्यालयों ने नए सत्र में कुछ न कुछ नए छात्रों का पंजीकरण किया है। लेकिन इससे से 270 विद्यालय ऐसे हैं जिनमें नया सत्र शुरू होने के वाद एक भी नया नामांकन नहीं हुआ है।
जिला प्रशासन इसे शिक्षकों की लापरवाही मान रहा है। सर्व शिक्षा अभियान के तहत इसकी निगरानी की जा रही है। 24 अप्रैल को टास्कफोर्स की बैठक में सीडीओ ने
नए सत्र में हुए पंजीकरण की समीक्षा की थी। पाया गया कि 270 परिषदीय विद्यालय ऐसे हैं, जिनमें चालू सत्र में एक भी नया नामांकन नहीं किया गया है। विद्यालयों की लापरवाही देखते हुए विभाग ने इन विद्यालयों के प्रधानाध्यापकों के खिलाफ नोटिस जारी किया। प्रधानाध्यापकों को बताना होगा कि किन कारण से नया नामांकन नहीं हो पाया।
इन ब्लॉकों में मिली खराब प्रगति
जिले के 11 ब्लॉकों में अधिकांश विद्यालय ऐसे मिले हैं, जिनमें छात्रों की उपस्थिति 45 फीसदी मिली। ऐसे ब्लॉकों के खंड शिक्षा अधिकारी को नोटिस भेजा गया है। इनमें बदलापुर, धर्मापुर, करंजाकला, खुटहन, मछलीशहर, महराजगंज, मडियाहूं, मुंगराबादशाहपुर, रामनगर, सिकरारा और सिरकोनी ब्लॉक में छात्रों की उपस्थिति ठीक नहीं मिली है।
नामांकन नहीं बढ़ाने वाले शिक्षकों की वेतन नहीं बढ़ेगा। दोषी प्रधानाध्यापक, शिक्षक और क्षेत्र के बीईओ की जिम्मेदारी तय करते हुए कार्रवाई की जाएगी। डॉ. गोरखनाथ पटेल बीएसए जौनपुर
Salary of teachers of 270 basic schools will not increase

The district administration is considering it as the negligence of the teachers. It is being monitored under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. In the task force meeting on April 24, the CDO
reviewed the registrations done in the new session. It was found that there are 270 council schools in which not a single new enrollment has been done in the current session. Seeing the negligence of the schools, the department issued notices against the headmasters of these schools. The headmasters will have to tell the reason for which new enrollment could not be done.
Poor progress found in these blocks
In 11 blocks of the district, most of the schools have been found in which the attendance of students was 45 percent. Notice has been sent to the Block Education Officer of such blocks. In these, the attendance of students was not found to be good in Badalpur, Dharmapur, Karanjakala, Khuthan, Machhlishahr, Maharajganj, Madiaun, Mungarabadshahpur, Ramnagar, Sikarara and Sirkoni blocks.
