प्रयागराज । प्रदेश के 1.14 लाख से अधिक परिषदीय प्राथमिक स्कूलों के सवा करोड़ से अधिक छात्र-छात्राएं अब आयुर्वेद के प्रणेता चरक, खगोल विज्ञानी वराहमिहिर, जानकी अम्माल (विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में डाक्टरेट की उपाधि प्राप्त करने वाली प्रथम भारतीय महिला) जैसे वैज्ञानिकों और विदुषियों को भी पढ़ेंगे।
राज्य विज्ञान शिक्षा संस्थान एलनगंज के विशेषज्ञों ने कक्षा एक से पांच तक के बच्चों के लिए 'हमारे महान वैज्ञानिक एवं गणितज्ञ' शीर्षक एक सप्लीमेंटरी पुस्तक तैयार की है।
इसमें भौतिक विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में डॉ. विक्रम साराभाई, होमी जहांगीर भाभा, डॉ. मेघनाद साहा, रसायन विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में शांति स्वरूप भटनागर, टीआर शेषाद्रि, गणित के क्षेत्र में बौधायन, वराहमिहिर, रामानुजन, चिकित्सा के क्षेत्र में चरक, सुश्रुत, इंजीनियरिंग के क्षेत्र में एम. विश्वेश्वरैया, पक्षी विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में सालिम अली आदि जैसे प्रमुख प्राचीन व आधुनिक वैज्ञानिकों एवं गणितज्ञों सहित कुल 36 विभूतियों की महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धियों एवं उनके योगदान से परिचित कराया गया है।

In this, important achievements and contributions of 36 eminent personalities including prominent ancient and modern scientists and mathematicians like Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, Homi Jahangir Bhabha, Dr. Meghnad Saha in the field of Physics, Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar, TR Sheshadri in the field of Chemistry, Baudhayana, Varahamihir, Ramanujan in the field of Mathematics, Charaka, Sushruta in the field of Medicine, M. Visvesvaraya in the field of Engineering, Salim Ali in the field of Ornithology etc. have been introduced.
