लखनऊ। प्रदेश में माध्यमिक शिक्षा विभाग के अधिकारियों की ढीली कार्यप्रणाली का असर पठन-पाठन पर दिखने लगा है। 448 राजकीय माध्यमिक विद्यालयों में विद्यार्थियों का नामांकन 50 या उससे कम हो गया है। स्थिति काफी खराब होने के बाद चेते विभाग ने नए सत्र 2024-25 में इसमें सुधार के लिए कवायद शुरू की है।
माध्यमिक शिक्षा विभाग के 2,675 राजकीय विद्यालय हैं। इसमें से कुछ जर्जर हैं तो कुछ में पठन-पाठन की स्थिति ठीक नहीं है। यही वजह है कि यहां की अपेक्षा छात्र निजी स्कूलों में प्रवेश में रुचि दिखा रहे हैं। हाल ही में विभाग ने खुद एक सूची जारी की है और कहा है कि 448 राजकीय विद्यालयों में 50 से भी कम नामांकन हैं। इसमें कुछ में जीरो तो कुछ में 7, 10, 12 व 15 ही हैं।
विभाग ने नाराजगी जताते हुए सभी संबंधित
जिलों को स्कूल चलो अभियान चलाने, बच्चों व अभिभावकों में प्रचार-प्रसार करने, लोगों से व्यक्तिगत संपर्क करने के निर्देश दिए हैं। माध्यमिक शिक्षा निदेशक डॉ. महेंद्र देव ने सभी प्रधानाचार्य से कहा है कि अपने पास के प्राथमिक व उच्च प्राथमिक विद्यालयों के कक्षा पांच व आठ के पास विद्यार्थियों की सूची लेकर उनके अभिभावकों से नामांकन के लिए संपर्क करें।
उन्होंने सभी डीआईओएस से भी कहा है कि वह यह देखें कि राजकीय विद्यालयों में नामांकन क्यों नहीं हो रहा है? विद्यालय स्तर पर अभिभावकों की बैठक कर उनकी समस्या का समाधान करते हुए नामांकन के लिए प्रेरित करें। नामांकन बढ़ाने के लिए शिक्षक व विद्यालयवार लक्ष्य निर्धारित करें और उसको पाने के लिए प्रयास करें।

Lucknow. The effect of the lax working style of the officials of the Secondary Education Department in the state has started showing on the teaching-learning. The enrollment of students in 448 government secondary schools has come down to 50 or less. After the situation became very bad, the alert department has started the exercise to improve it in the new session 2024-25.
The Secondary Education Department has 2,675 government schools. Some of these are dilapidated and the condition of teaching-learning is not good in some. This is the reason why students are showing interest in admission in private schools as compared to here. Recently the department itself has released a list and said that 448 government schools have less than 50 enrollments. In this, some have zero and some have only 7, 10, 12 and 15.
Expressing displeasure, the department has directed all the concerned districts to run a 'School Chalo Abhiyan', to publicise it among children and parents, and to personally contact people. Director of Secondary Education Dr Mahendra Dev has asked all the principals to take the list of students of class 5 and 8 of the primary and upper primary schools near them and contact their parents for enrolment.
He has also asked all the DIOS to see why enrolment is not happening in government schools. Organise a meeting of parents at the school level and solve their problems and motivate them for enrolment. To increase enrolment, teachers and schools should set targets and make efforts to achieve them.
